The Liberal Democrat Vision Is Now Seriously

 wpe1.jpg (3906 bytes)

Thinking of voting Liberal Democrat?  You may want to think again

Councillor Mark Farmer was elected for the Liberal Democrats in Eyres Monsell in 2002.  In an interview with Radio Leicester on 20th September 2006 he said:

"There are serious allegations against the Lib-Dems... They really don't deserve to be re-elected"

Voting for the Liberal Democrats in Leicester has effectively put the Tories into power as part of the coalition.  This is what the Council's rulers have said:

"I hardly see it as a raging disaster" - Councillor Mugglestone in the Leicester Mercury on 5th February in a typical Tory reaction to the job losses caused by the closure of Oddbins on Horsefair Street.   Oddbins business was seriously affected by the botched street works that have plagued the centre of Leicester which Councillor Mugglestone was responsible for.

"I and my political colleagues clearly take overall responsibility" said Lib-Dem Council leader in the Leicester Mercury on 13th August 2006 after the review of Lifelong Learning cost council tax payers £3.5 million and gave them big cuts in services.  Whilst Councillor Blackmore claimed responsibility he didn't offer to resign.

"But most of the cuts I regret not in the slightest" Tory leader Councillor Scuplak said in a letter to the Leicester Mercury on 24th August 2004 after the savage cuts to the voluntary sector which led to the closure of many organisations across the city, the loss of services to their users and the loss of jobs for the staff

Don't be fooled again.  When you vote Lib-Dem in Leicester you get Tories
