The Leicester Labour Party has set out a positive vision, in our 2011 Election Manifesto, to take the city though the challenges it faces today and will face in the future. We are entering into a radical change for the way Leicester is governed with a directly elected mayor. This change brings with it a chance to have strong leadership to make Leicester more successful, more prosperous and an even greater place to live & work than it is now for all the diverse people and communities of the city.

• A proud & self-confident city
