On Saturday 21st May, the Labour Leader, Ed Miliband made a major keynote speech at the Progress Annual Conference. In it he set out how Labour had to “own the future” and set out what he thought would be the key components of Labour’s new “national mission” to regain the trust of the British people and to address their day to day concerns.

• A living wage.
• A new industrial policy.
• Proper reform of finance, so it works for the wider economy.
• Responsibility at the top, and at the bottom.
